Morning Star Laundry

CRESTWOOD HAS INSTITUTED THIS FREE SELF-SERVE LAUNDRY SERVICE to provide the homeless and poor in an effort to help these individuals and families to (1) protect the integrity of their clothing and bedding and (2) combat molds, bacteria and allergens that can affect their health, and (3) give them dignity in their appearance as they socialize and look for work. Many of our local agencies have been brought in to provide referrals to the laundry service. Groups like our Showers of Blessing ministry, The County Health Care Street Outreach, The Good Samaritan Shelter, and Catholic Charities. This service is reserved for the homeless and no-to-low income persons by referral due to the limited number of washers and time.

Each guest is provided with one washer and one dryer on a Tuesday morning. Detergent and softener is provided along with a smiling attendant to help out. Estimated time for wash and dry is 45 minutes. A load of wash may be clothing or bedding. Each guest will be provided with a copy of the laundromat rules and directed to the Laundromats own rules too.

We are extremely grateful to Lucky Laundry for opening their doors to this ministry and the guests we care for when others would not. Bless you.
